ABOUT DAI

A woman with long, curly black hair and makeup, wearing a black dress with pink bows on the shoulders, a silver necklace, and earrings, at an event with a purple backdrop.

I’m Dai, a communications strategist and storyteller working at the intersection of culture, advocacy, and digital media.

I earned my BA in Mass Media Arts through the Atlanta University Center, taking coursework across Clark Atlanta University, Spelman College, and Morehouse College. I later continued my studies at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism as an Ida B. Wells Scholar, where I focused on arts, culture, data, and political reporting.

During that time, I was selected as a U.S. delegate for the 2022 Brussels Study Tour, where I studied European Union institutions, global communications strategies, and the global press response to the Russia-Ukraine conflict in Belgium.

Professionally, I’ve worked across media, nonprofit communications, and digital strategy including roles with music, entertainment, and fashion magazines, the Clinton Foundation, as well as supporting creator partnerships for the Clinton Global Initiative and creator relations for GLAAD Communities of Color.

I am currently completing my MA in Communications Studies at Arkansas State University, where my research focuses on digital communications and social media strategy.

Through Dai-Dreamers Media & Strategies, I help organizations, creators, and cultural brands transform ideas into narratives that engage audiences and move communities.

Because every impactful story begins the same way: as a daydream.
