By capturing their stories, the project aimed to humanize the Center’s impact while celebrating the community that helped sustain it over two decades.
The result was a cohesive, multi-platform content series designed to elevate personal narratives while reinforcing the Center’s mission and history.
My Role
Concept Development:
Originated the idea for the anniversary storytelling series, identifying legacy volunteers and staff as powerful voices to represent the Center’s history.
Interview Production:
Developed interview questions and coordinated scheduling with participants via email, organizing on-site filming logistics.

Produced video interviews using iPhone-based production tools, including tripods, microphones, and mobile filming setups.
Editing & Post-Production:
Edited video content using CapCut, preparing short-form segments optimized for social media platforms.

Overview
As an independently contracted journalist for MEFeater Magazine, I served as a staff writer, on-camera talent, and social media coordinator, contributing to the publication’s coverage of major cultural events in music, fashion, and entertainment.
One of the magazine’s key partnerships was with Spotify for the inaugural Feelin’ Myself Fashion Show, a cultural event highlighting women in hip-hop and fashion. I was selected as MEFeater’s on-camera interviewer to capture conversations with artists and talent attending the event.
Following that collaboration, I was again tapped by the magazine to conduct interviews during their press coverage of Broccoli City Music Festival, where I secured an exclusive interview with recording artist Mariah the Scientist.
These interviews helped translate live cultural moments into engaging digital content distributed across multiple platforms.
